2017 Submissions

Emmeline Anthony, 5th Grade
Somerset College, Gold Coast, Australia

Ten year old Emmeline Anthony (shown here) chose Rachel Carson for an extensive project on an “Eminent Individual.” The photos show Emmeline presenting her Carson project and the beautiful and accurate “time line” she constructed. She had read Rachel Ignotofsky’s book Women in Science and was impressed by Carson’s intelligence and courage. She was required to present a report in public in costume. Congratulations Emmeline!
